The project for <strong>L\u2019Aggiunta Societ\u00e0 Agricola Semplice<\/strong>, a cattle farm in Gioia del Colle, required the integration of expertise gained in thermohydraulic and energy systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For the farm, the priority is to ensure the energy required for the continuity of the production process and the day-to-day management of the facility. With operations covering more than 800 hectares, annual energy consumption reaches approximately <strong>709,000 kWh<\/strong>. In addition, <strong>20,000 litres of hot water at temperatures of up to 80 \u00b0C<\/strong> are required every day for feeding the calves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The real <strong>challenge<\/strong> for ASTECO S.r.l. was to coordinate different technologies in order to make energy available in the required quantity, in the required form and at the required time, while ensuring continuity and reliability.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">By listening to the client\u2019s needs and analysing the production process, the <strong>engineering solution<\/strong> took shape: an integrated system comprising:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27606  alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smartbuildinglevante.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/SCHEMA-480x366.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"413\" height=\"298\" \/><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Photovoltaic system:<\/strong> 598.97 kWp, 1,346 modules and an estimated annual energy yield of approximately 730,000 kWh.<\/li>\n<li><strong>BESS:<\/strong> 290.3 kWh.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Heating plant:<\/strong> 4 R290 air-to-water monobloc heat pumps, with a total capacity of 108 kWth, 93.2 m\u00b2 of solar thermal collectors and 20,000 litres of storage capacity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Electric mobility:<\/strong> 22 kW charging system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Backup:<\/strong> 2 LPG condensing boilers with a combined capacity of 320 kWth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The technologies are operated as a single system through <strong>automatic energy management<\/strong>, which coordinates energy production, storage and supply according to the farm\u2019s production requirements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The results of the project are reflected in the available data. On the electrical side, the amount of energy drawn from the grid has been reduced by approximately <strong>67%<\/strong>.
