Twin Transition and the Housing Plan: Development Scenarios for the Renovation of the Building Stock through Public-Private Partnerships
Organized by Smart Building Italia
Abstract: The opening conference of Smart Building Levante 2026 will explore the opportunities offered by the twin transition and the Housing Plan for the renovation and upgrading of the building stock. Institutions, professionals and experts will discuss emerging regulatory, technological and market scenarios, with a focus on the role of public-private collaboration.
The debate will focus on the energy and digital transition of buildings, the implementation of RED III, the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) and the new ITACA Protocol, as well as the potential to turn measures addressing the housing emergency into an opportunity to improve building quality and broaden citizens’ access to innovative services.
A strategic discussion aimed at defining sustainable and practically applicable development models, with particular attention to Puglia and Southern Italy.

Technologies and Construction Techniques to Combat Global Warming in the Mediterranean Basin
Organized by EAMC – Engineering Association of Mediterranean Countries
Abstract: MIBA Levante looks to the Mediterranean and aims to serve as a meeting point for countries on its different shores, which are called upon to address challenges that transcend national borders.
The Summit is promoted by EAMC – Engineering Association of Mediterranean Countries, an organization that brings together and connects the engineering communities of Mediterranean countries, fostering dialogue and the sharing of expertise.
The event will focus on combating global warming through the integration of innovative technologies and construction techniques suited to the specific climatic conditions of the region. This initiative strengthens MIBA Levante’s international vocation and its role as a “bridge” between the different shores of the Mediterranean, transforming the trade fair into a laboratory for shared knowledge and solutions.

Abstract: The new European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD4) marks the beginning of a decisive phase for the entire construction and building systems industry. The conference will explore the scenarios surrounding its implementation in Italy, focusing on the integration of energy efficiency, digitalization, automation, and building quality.
The event will provide an opportunity to understand how the new European targets can be translated into regulations, design solutions, and market opportunities, requiring increasingly close collaboration among designers, companies, and technology providers. A strategic event to prepare the industry for the transformation of the building stock and the challenges of the twin transition.

Towards the Mediterranean Technology Hub: Building Sustainable Data Centers – Foundations, Design and Construction
Organized by the Polytechnic University of Bari in collaboration with MedisDIH
Abstract: Puglia is accelerating its efforts to establish itself as a technology and digital hub for the Mediterranean. Following the dialogue launched at the Mediterranean Data Center Forum 2026 and looking ahead to the 2027 edition, this workshop represents a strategic midterm milestone for assessing the conditions required to develop a regional Data Center ecosystem.
Site selection, permitting, integration with the local area, sustainable design and construction, energy, decarbonization, security, thermal management, and telecommunications infrastructure will be at the heart of the discussion. The workshop will highlight the positive path undertaken by the Puglia Region and aims to turn a major technological opportunity into tangible and sustainable development for the region.
