International Fair of Systems and Construction 4.0 in the Mediterranean

Smart Building Levante is the Fair of Southern Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean dedicated to the crucial theme of the dual digital and energy transition in the fields of construction and urban planning.

 

A trade fair recognized as of international value by the Puglia Region, which is an unmissable event for those who are and will be involved in the application of the European Community’s Green Homes Directive.

This directive aims to bring national building stock to carbon neutrality by 2050. It is an epochal challenge involving a sector that, in our country alone, is worth 174 billion euros in annual revenue and employs over half a million people.

Luca Baldin

General manager Smart Building Italia

Graduated in History from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, he specialized in Culture and Technique of Public Relations at the Higher Institute of Journalism and Television Communication in Rome. He has taught in the field of museum sciences at Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the School of Specialization in Cultural Heritage of the University of Siena. He has held senior roles in numerous organizations active in the management and enhancement of cultural heritage, also serving as the National Secretary of ICOM (International Council of Museums) for eight years. Since 2014, he has been the director of the communication and marketing agency Pentastudio in Vicenza, where he has worked as a project manager and event manager for national and international trade fairs dedicated to new technologies in home, building, and city sectors, operating in the main exhibition centers in Italy (Milan, Bologna, Bari, Vicenza, Verona). Since 2020, he has been the editor-in-chief of the magazines Smart Building Italia and Connessioni. He is a founding member and serves on the Board of Directors of Smart Buildings Alliance Italia.

Giuseppe Cafaro

AEIT Puglia President

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Bari. He conducted research at the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the University of Bari, eventually becoming an Associate Professor of "Industrial Electrical Systems" in 1986. He has taught at the University of Mogadishu (Somalia) and later in the Electrical Engineering program at the Polytechnic University of Bari. He is the president of the Puglia section of AEIT (Italian Association of Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Information Technology, and Telecommunications). He provides training on behalf of CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Committee).

Lorenzo Ferrara

President Productive District of Environment and Reuse (DIPAR)

Graduated from Turin Polytechnic with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he has served as Technical Advisor to Public Entities and Private Companies in the fields of environment, technology transfer, internationalization, strategic planning. He has held senior positions within Confindustria, specifically in the areas of environment and sustainable development.
He is currently President of the Productive District of the Environment and Reuse (DIPAR), which brings together 198 companies in the sector, 21 trade associations and trade unions, 9 public and private entities, and 6 universities and research institutions.

Giuseppe Bratta

Regional President Pugliese Renewable Energy Production District

An economics and business graduate, he has been an entrepreneur in the green and technology sector for 15 years. Founder of Geatecno, a leading company in southern Italy in the green economy sector, and in 2012 of Plasmapps, an Italian technological excellence dealing with plasma surface treatment through green plasma nano-technology.
He is the Regional President of the Apulian Production District of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency "The New Energy," which represents the Apulian regional production system of the green economy to which about 300 companies and all Apulian universities adhere.

Antonio Stragapede

DES PUGLIA (Sustainable Building District) Vice President

Architect, Co-founder of CFE Center for Building Physics. He has developed interests in the field of building physics, energy performance and sustainability of buildings, and is mainly concerned with the processes of transformation of the construction industry towards green economy. Winner of several national and international competitions, he is a promoter of issues related to the implementation of industrial aspects of construction, with an innovative vision of the industrialized building product related to performance aspects.
He is Project Manager of the KeepZero Project - Synergies for Sustainability, Member of the Sustainability Commission of the Region of Puglia, Member of the Council of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators of Bari for the four-year period 2020 - 2024, and Vice President DES PUGLIA (Sustainable Building District).

Mauro Spagnolo

Director Rinnovabili.it

A journalist and science communicator, he has covered energy and environmental sustainability for more than thirty years. He is co-founder of the newspaper Rinnovabili.it and its editor in chief. He has been lecturer in "Plants and Environmental Compatibility" at the Faculty of Architecture La Sapienza University, scientific head of the Advanced Training Course in "Energy Efficiency in Buildings" at the Department of Mechanics and Aeronautics of the Faculty of Engineering La Sapienza University as well as lecturer in dozens of university Master's degrees. Author of various books, editorials and technical articles, he is among the energy experts at RAI for which he provides content and participations in various TV and radio productions.
